  Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) originated in China over 2000 years ago and mainly consists of acupuncture and herbal medicine. TCM theory is rooted in the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang, with a holistic approach to diagnosis, treatment and health maintenance. TCM is still used today to treat a wide range of conditions, taking into account the effects of diet, lifestyle and the emotions, and any imbalances they may have caused.

Acupuncture  involves the insertion of very fine needles in specific points on the body in order to improve the circulation, removing any blockages of energy (Qi) which may be causing pain or health problems, and stimulating the body's natural healing response. Needles are usually retained for 20-25 minutes.

Chinese herbal medicine is given in capsule form and  is often suitable for chronic, complex conditions. Different herbs have unique properties which are used to rebalance the internal system. Nutrition and lifestyle advice may be given first before prescribing medicine.
Organic reishi mushroom is highly recommended for long-term health maintenance.
